Open my eyes to see
The potential in others .
When I look at people ,
I can so easily miss the potential
With in them even after they hurt me .
Thankfully our God looks at our hearts
And sees all that I can do .
With God's encouragement
And the love and care of others .
I can become all I have been
Created to be .
With God's help and guidance
I can learn to look at others differently .
In stead of viewing them
With a critical and judgmental eye
I will try to find the tiny
Green shoot with in each person
Especially the difficult ones .
I want to be someone
Who encourages them
Not only to grow but to flourish .
