Be Wise

Where do we obtain knowledge today ?

Is gaining wisdom even a priority 

For most citizens of the 21 century ?

We might ask who is wise ?

Elderly people used to be consulted 

For their wisdom ,

But all over the world ,

It seems such wisdom 

Is not considered important any longer .

Maybe we would really rather

Not be challenged in our ways 

Of thinking and behaving ,

Yet we are clearly making mistakes 

As a societies and as individuals ,

Perhaps we do need the wisdom in Proverbs 

To help us live smarter and more intentional lives .
