Console

Do not be afraid to console

Someone who is hurting 

and feeling lonely .

Be kind by loaning 

Someone your strength 

Instead of reminding 

Them of their weakness .

When someone is on their knees 

Get down on your knees .

Jesus gave us eyes to see 

So we can help and care for others .

To console the hurting and lonely .l

Give them love and hope and encouragement 

And be quick to listen 

And slow to speak .

To console takes time and a prayer .

Remember to console someone 

Tell them  when life is tough 

And uncertain to keep the faith anchored 

With the source of salvation and strength 

With hope and trust and peace .

For God is always with you .
