When I started off on my morning run ,
It was a bright and sunny morning
With no hint of rain .
I enjoyed the beauty around me .
The wind whipped up a wonderful dance
Of leaves and the crescendo of crickets chirping .
Then without warning ,
The weather changed .
Bringing a heavy rush of showers .
It disrupted my run and what I was thinking .
When the rain stopped ,
I ran home not like a sprinter .
I realized that just as the rain
Had come unannounced
With a new perspective about life
Can arrive in unexpected ways .
