My Responsibility

As a child I questioned  the existence of God .

But my mother and dad and grandma 

Said you must have faith .

The seeds of faith were sown inside me .

With my trouble or my situation 

I need those early seeds of faith to grow

And bloom .

Each day my gardening 

Brings the higher power 

Of my understanding more fully 

Into my life .

I know I am getting older 

And I know God is always 

Been with me through faith ,

And it is my responsibility 

To have the willingness

To accept His presence .

I ask God to grant me 

The willingness to do His will .
