As Christians we are on a long journey ,
And our souls so often become weary .
Our labor is hard .
Crime and corruption and sadness fill the news .
We long to be free of the burdens
That weigh us down day after day
We cry to God .
We are not where we want to be not yet not me .
We so long to be with Him .
Christ understands that the journey is long .
He knows that we need rest
For our weary souls .
He could say come to me with compassion .
Come and hear My Words preached this Sunday
And every Sunday .
When I see you ,
I will give you a long hard hug
And thank you for being in My life
All these years .
