Many of us will make resolutions
To eat better , exercise more , spend less
And for me not to drink today .
We all run into danger ,
However , when we treat deepening
Our relationship with God
As we are all going to fall short
Of spiritual perfection .
If we truly desire to grow
In love for Him ,
Giving up after a bad weekend
Is not an option .
Let us all resolve to keep this resolution
To put obedience to Him
And his loving desire for us first
Throughout this new year .
