Jesus calls us every day
In small but significant ways ,
Inviting us to follow him more closely .
He whispers to us things
Like give him a hand ,
Give her a call ,
Pay attention to him ,
Be more patient with them ,
Offer to help with that project ,
Listen and pray .
In each instance ,
We will have to let go of somethings
In order to follow Jesus' invitation .
Our personal agenda ,
Some precious time ,
Control ,
Our self interest ,
Our fear of getting involved
And then there is the excuse .
Remember , God gave you
A fingerprint that no one else has .
So you can leave an imprint
That no one else can !
