I know My Child

I know my child .

I know how she responds 

When I wake her up .

I know her countless interest ,

Desire and preference .

But I will never know her perfectly 

Inside and out .

I catch a glimpse of the kind of intimate 

Knowledge Jesus has of His people .

We may not know why Jesus chose 

To share the particular details .

Jesus knows each of us like this ,

Real well , completely and perfectly .

The way we long to be known .

He expects us completely .

He invites us to be not only 

His followers 

But also His beloved friends .
