Lukewarm

We may own a new Bible 

But not read it .

We may go to church every Sunday 

But just sit there 

Expecting the choir ,

Liturgists and father

To put in all the effort 

For us .

Scripture tells us that we are 

Not to be lukewarm in faith .

Our walk with God 

Is an active process

And requires times , attention 

And full participation .

Others can not do the work for us .

Rather than being lukewarm 

We need to be fully invested 

In our quest to be more like Jesus .

The rewards are immense and eternal .
