On A Drive

                

When I go for a drive 

Out in the country to just get away .

I take in all that is around me 

The horses , the birds in the sky 

And so much natural beauty .

I have never felt so content 

In the midst of so much uncertainty 

Yes , it would be hard not to see God 

In such a journey .

While driving , I realized 

How often the stresses 

And worries of everyday life

Distract me from being present 

To the beauty 

And joyful moments in life on earth sadly ,

I often miss them .

Today is a reminder 

That our worry can keep us from seeing 

The fullness of what God provides .
