Ourselves

You know that when you shift the focus 

And attention to ourselves 

That our sin is revealed and magnified 

What our Lord calls for is not a shift 

Toward what we do .

Instead , He directs us 

To what He does for us .

When we think we have 

Done it all ,

We see that He has given us all 

That we have done .

When we think we have been everywhere 

But find ourselves lost ,

He promises to guide us .

It is not about what we have done 

But what God has done for us 

In our daily life 

And also for eternal life .
