Patient

I am not a particularly patient person .

You all know I like to go fishing .

While patience does not always 

Come easy to me ,

I know patience is key to listening

Both to others and to God .

Every morning I set aside time 

To listen patiently to God 

Before the concerns of the day hit me .

Fishing reminds me that patience 

And stillness are a good way to fish 

For what God wants me to hear today 

But true successful fishing 

Also encourages me to look around actively 

And seek God's wisdom .
