The joy of grandparents is to get
To play with their grandchildren .
Grandparents get to smother them
With hugs and kisses .
Give them candy and then send them home .
Being a grandparent has its draw backs .
It is difficult to let our children
Raise their children as they see fit ,
Especially if we disagree with their methods .
Sometimes we do not have the patience
We thought we had
And so we look forward to our quiet home
After the grand kids have returned to their home
But we also feel sad every time they go outside the door .
We know they will come back and remind us
We are their loving grandparents .
Remember , God made grandparents
Because they like happiness .
