Grandpa has the responsibilities
And has the expectation
That his grand kids learn
To pray and to go to church on Sunday .
He hopes they turn to God
When they are sick
And when they engage in difficult issues
In their world .
He hopes they look through the lens of faith
And the way they love others .
Grandpa hopes that their faith
Always speaks the good news
Of the gospel to his grand children
And helps to keep them on course .
