Following Jesus requires us
To change our hearts and minds sometimes .
Many things can influence our thoughts
And actions and cause us to stray
From our daily walk with Jesus .
The Holy Spirit reminds us that Jesus
Is our ultimate example .
Yes there have been times
When we have disobeyed
Jesus and Jesus's teaching
And we believe that we
Have gone beyond help and love .
It is heavy on our minds
That Jesus might not want to have anything
To do with us .
Quite the contrary because because of the power
Of his love for us .
Remember , Jesus overcame sin and death
And offers us life everlasting .
Remember , be on your guard
Stand firm in faith .
Be courageous and be strong .
Jesus let your love reduce me to silence today .
