The Insight

Sometimes I consider 

What it means to grow 

As a follower of Jesus .

I have learned the secret 

Of being content 

In any and every situation 

Over the years .

Personal peace did not happen 

Over night .

It is something I grew into me 

Over time .

I can do all this through God 

Who gives me strength .

Life has its challenges 

But as I turn to the One 

Who has overcome the world .

I discovered not only that He is faithful

He can get me through it all

And that nothing matters 

More than the closeness to Him .

He gives me His peace 

And helps me to trust 

And empowers me to go 

The distance as I run or walk 

With Him .
