I do not think anyone
Enjoys waiting .
Waiting reminds me
That waiting is part
Of our life with God .
Sometimes the wait
Seems uncomfortable
Or unbearable ,
But God promised to listen
When I call out .
When I spend time
Waiting in anticipation
Of the fulfillment of God's promise ,
The delay becomes an act of praise .
When I feel God has not moved
According to my preferred time frame ,
I can explore ways to use this time that is mine
To grow into a stronger and more trusting
Relationship with God .
