He trembles as he enters
The church .
He spots an empty pew
Up near the front and sits down .
He feels the eyes of everyone on him .
He just wants to just turn and leave .
Something deep inside
Him says do not leave just yet .
The Pastor begins his sermon
With the words
Because we all have sinned
And fallen .
He lets these words sink in
As he then goes to say
Because God so loves the world ,
Remember , He sent us Jesus .
Who took our imperfection
And exchanged it for His perfection
Through His sacrifice .
He has won the forgiveness
Of all sins yours and mine .
I am in God's house
I love him and I feel more than fine .
