It always amazes me the way
Peace the powerful unexplainable
Peace can somehow fill my hearts
Even in my saddest moments .
Some people will say they are sorry
And then they may say this is what happened to them .
I was so relieved to see a high school friend .
Without a word , he simply wrapped me up
In a long hug .
His quiet understanding flooded me
With the first feeling of peace .
Within my sadness that difficult day ,
