My Secret Place

When my future looks uncertain 

And feel flimsy and even precarious 

And I can not sleep ,

I then go to my secret place .

When I feel the waves of adversity 

Washing over me ,

I go to my secret place .

When I try to figure out the future 

With the many forms of worry ,

It is time for me to go to my secret place 

Where I can lay still with my heart and sleep ,

Where God is my refuge and strength 

And an ever present help with all my troubles .

In my secret place I shell not be afraid .

He will protect my head , my lips and my heart 

There and every where always .

Nobody will ever know how many times 

I go to my quiet secret place to just get away 

From everything 

If it is only for a little while .

Thank God I can share my secret place 

With just God and with him there is always 

Hope and God is always with me .
