We often miss God's blessings
In our lives simply because
We fail to notice them .
In times of difficulty , business
Or stress we may focus
On the tasks we must complete
Or the problems we must tackle
And we will fail to see things
That are around us all the time
Like the beauty of the trees
And the flowers , the kind words
Of supportive friends .
The smile of a loving
Grandchild even before I
Call him smiley .
If we take a moment
To open our eyes and heart ,
We can give thanks
For the blessings
That reminds us
That God loves us
And cares for us
Even when trying circumstances
Cause us to forget
But do not forget to thank God .
