Currency

We are encouraged to pay

With thanksgiving .

It is what is accomplished

In our prayers that we 

Want to pay attention to today .

Yes , I do keep my rosary 

In my pocket .

Prayer is not a currency 

We put into a heavenly 

Vending machine to get what we

Want out of God .

No our prayers are to be

Requests to God 

For the salvation of all

And for the knowledge

Of truth to be know .

Remember , our prayers 

Are not the currency that pays for us .

The payment is made by the precious 

Blood of Christ .

He prays with us and for us .

As we pray we also give thanks 

Especially this day 

For even the president 

Who has led our nation 

And that our Lord would maintain us 

With a peaceful and quiet life 

Godly and dignified in every way .
