Peace

It can be difficult to be at peace 

Even when you can not sleep .

Often when we think of peace ,

We picture being along and at ease ,

Like in a quiet serene place .

Perhaps you think of a peaceful time fishing 

And away from everything .

We often turn to isolation for our peacefulness .

But the peace that Jesus brings 

Is not in isolation ,

No the peace He brings is in joining 

Us head on .

Jesus brings peace by joining

Us in the flesh ,

Jesus brings a peace that we 

May know in the midst 

Of war , tragedy , conflict and sickness .

Jesus does not call us to isolation 

But to be joined with Him 

And the communion of saints .
