Understanding

When our life is in shambles 

And the rivers seem dry ,

We want to know what we have done 

To deserve such a condition .

Others may want to comfort us 

But do not understand 

What is happening .

Remember , welcome their attempts 

At comforting .

Try to empathize with others .

But know that others 

May not have all the answers of why .

They may not understand .

We will persevere with faith 

That the Lord will teach us 

And show us His grace 

Through it all .

He along understands all things 

And He along is our comfort in distress .

May we in comforting others ,

Lead them to the understanding 

Of God's comfort in Christ .
