This is the time of year
Political talks or debate never ever ends .
Sometimes the intense emotions
And judgement that characterize
These conversations or debates
Led me to wonder if people
Are looking for a competent government leader
Or something more profound in a spiritually barren time ?
Remember , today in being confronted with human suffering ,
Our call is not to look for another to fix everything .
Our true call is to leave our comfort zone ,
Find the needy , embrace them as our sisters and brothers
And meet their needs .
No matter who wins or loses these earthly battles ,
Nothing is stopping us
From being His light into that gloom .
Always remember , even when times are difficult
We need to keep from turning against God
And may we continue to hold fast to His Word .
