My Resting Place

When I am in my solitary and resting place .

I can pray openly before God .

I prepare myself for the day 

Through prayer and cry 

If I need to .

After praying to God 

I gain new strength , peace 

In my heart and mind 

That I can not get from anywhere else .

Not only is my spirit recharged ,

But my passion for living 

And walking with God is resurrected .

Joy fills my heart and mind 

Despite any obstacles ahead of me .
